This document contains information regarding the fixes and 
enhancements for Spam Filter Extension releases which supplements
User's Guide and Online help.

1.1  ENH0084 - Added a 'Friendly Subjects' Rule and removed 
     'X-PMflags' from the 'Likely Spam Markers' list.

1.2  ENH0085 - The SpamFilter now reports the operative rule by    
     adding a mail header field X-SpamFilter: with the rule name
     as the data.

1.3  ENH0090 - Added a new wildcard control, '_'. If included at
     the begining of a pattern string, it constrains the match to
     a single line of data.
     Example _*filename*.vbs* will only return a match of the strings
     'filename' and '.vbs' appear on a single line.

1.4  SDR0147 - Corrected a problem with the 'FindWordInHeader' 
     function which could cause incorrect spam identification.

1.1  ENH0055 - Changed the filter to ignore messages forwarded from
     internal mailboxes. Such messages will have already been checked.

1.1  After extensive testing of the new single user SpamWeasel
     product a number of small changes have been to the core
     rules engine.

1.2  Full review of the system rules and list files to expand
     and clarify the system set-up.

     Two lists are have been renamed and users should review
     any additions made to the old files, copying these to
     the new versions:
     Friendly Email Addresses.lst becomes Friendly From Addresses.lst
     Spam Subject Words.wrd becomes Usual Spam Subject Words.wrd

     The following list files have been added:
     Unfriendly From Addresses.lst
     Definite Spam Markers.lst
     Likely Spam Markers.lst
     Likely Spam Words.wrd
     Undesirable Attachment Marks.lst

1.3  Two new functions added to the script language. 
     The function FindWordInMessage has been changed to
     FindWordInBody. If you have created your own rules these
     must be reviewed.

     extension. Several changes made to generally improve module
     stability and error reporting.

Welcome to this first release of the Spam Filter Extension.

To install this module, download and run the installer executable
file. This will install the required components for the filter.

You must now configure the module using the menu item Gateway/Extensions.
Click on the Spam Filter and select Configure.
In particular you should review the Pattern Lists to suit your mail
and domain addresses.

To activate the module, you will need to stop and re-start
the MailGate service.

Please consult the help text for details on how to use the filter.
